Meme - an element of a culture or system of behavior that may be considered to be passed from one individual to another by nongenetic means, especially imitation.

Virus - type of malicious software program ("malware") that, when executed, replicates by reproducing itself (copying its own source code) or infecting other computer programs by modifying them. Infecting computer programs can include as well, data files, or the "boot" sector of the hard drive.

Viral - an image, video, advertisement, etc., that is circulated rapidly on the Internet.

Blog - a regularly updated website or web page, typically one run by an individual or small group, that is written in an informal or conversational style.

Wiki - a website that allows collaborative editing of its content and structure by its users.

URL - Uniform Resource Locator: a protocol forspecifying addresses on the Internet.

Website - a location connected to the Internet that maintains one or more pages on the World Wide Web.

WWW - The World Wide Web (WWW) is a network of online content that is formatted in HTML and accessed via HTTP. The term refers to all the interlinked HTML pages that can be accessed over the Internet.

Internet - The global communication network that allows almost all computers worldwide to connect and exchange information. Some of the early impetus for such a network came from the U.S. government network Arpanet, starting in the 1960s.

Open Source - denoting software for which the original source code is made freely available and may be redistributed and modified.
