My presentation

Froze up a bit, but I feel like I did pretty well on my presentation and explaining it.

PRESENTATIONS

So far my favorite presentation has been either Cesar's or Roxy's. Their way of presenting was pretty clear and awesome. Not all of the presentations are finished so I guess I will soon find out if I gained a new favorite presentation (besides mine).

Religions

Different views:
Who we call God.
Some people call him Allah, some people call him God but aren't we really referring to the same
Person?
There is no main religion, the real reason of religion is to love our creator and everybody who he has also created.
Some religions just teach you a different way to live your life and that is okay.
Everybody's different in some way or form.

Activities

3 things I did over break:
I probably went to the beach at least 5 or 6 days in a row, to relax and listen to the waves and to relax my muscles in the water.
I had a tournament for baseball which went from Monday to Thursday, and before every game we pray to one of our fallen teammates. We circle around his jersey and say a quick prayer, so I talked to my coach, who is very religious, and I asked him about his opinion on religions.
I worked 2 or 3 days during spring break.
Spring break wasn't that exciting to be honest, but it was relaxing.

Ignite Talk

My big question is " why are there so many different religions and cultures and ways of life? "
One thing I did over break to explore my question was talk to different older people who are very religious.
One thing I learned was that it's all based on what you believe in, you can't prove why there are, or give any living reasons why all this happens, but you believe what you want to.
What I plan on doing or want to do, is talk to somebody in charge of a church, orrrrrrr talk to people of different religions.

THE CHASE IS ON

1. The hound attacked Montag because he was running because he had just committed murder.
2. Montag tries to burn it with the flamethrower then gets injected in the leg then limps away.
3. Montag realizes Beatty is just against Montag with everything he does.
4. Montag goes to get books hidden in the garden.
5. Montag is almost hit my kids driving fast.

MONTAG KILLS

He did this because Beatty said books are useless and made Montag burn down his own house.

Questions

1. Mildred misses watching tv with her family and is scared to have the house burned down, and Montag is just wondering why book lovers love books so much.
2. He wonders why nobody talks about the war and why he cannot hear about it.
3. A man Montag met in the park who illegally reads books
4. Montag is trying to memorize part of the bible but can't so he has to read it in his lap.
5.He states that they have quality, they have Leisure, and he says that people think very deeply about books.
6. A seashell that is also a radio.
7. The tv show makes the clown represent the people as mindless drones, and it shows misrepresentations of the real world.
8. She has never heard a poem before so she says it is bad or nasty.
9. Montag is aware that his house is going to be burned down next and somebody turned him in.

1. All society ever wants you to do is go to school, read, and write and be perfect, so it must feel good to burn the books and get rid of the feeling
2. Bird and the books are being compared because birds fly away and the book is kind of going off topic.
3. Clarisse is searching for a lot of answers in her life while Montag is living a simple life.
4. They compare because he is pretty much talking about today's technology and yes it makes their lives quality improve.
5. Maybe so he can add Clarisse into the story to make it exciting and the overdose adds thrill or a crazy moment.
6. He does this because he places the events in order by what happened at the exact time.
7. Maybe there were many fires in that society so they had to prepare for the fires
8. Mildred overdosed because she was miserable and the doctor or MD had to help her.
9. It is a robotic dog, and it is made to hunt down and kill fugitives.
10. She rather think than speak. She doesn't like to mash things up.
11. When the firemen come to destroy the books, they are destroying the woman's humanity.
12. They are married but not in love they don't even focus on each other.

???? How was that a love song? It was pretty depressing didn't seem like such a love song.
And the ending ???? That was a pretty romantic ending. I mean it could be romantic that they drowned, but I didn't think it was too romantic.

Chapter 8

Wilson kills Gatsby then kills himself while Gatsby is in the pool
A servant finds them both
Nobody comes to Gatsbys funeral
Mr.Gatz (his dad) comes to the funeral

Chapter 4 Gatsby

1.) Gatsby had told Nick that the he has gotten so much money when his family died he got most of everybody's money also that he travels to Europe to find jewels and that something sad has happened to him that he wants to stop thinking about or get away from.

2.) Jordan tells Nick that Gatsby has fallen in love with Mrs. Buchanan and that the only reason he moved to West Egg was to be closer to her.

I believe what Gatsby said because it sounds more like a fact, while what Jordan said sounds just like gossip.

Chapter 3 Remix

Nick goes to the Gatsbys party, and everybody is drooling over his fancy stuff especially his Rolls Royce. Nick goes outside and sits at a table with a random man who is actually the Great Gatsby. ( pretty weird how he doesn't even know who the Gatsby actually is or looks like when everybody is really excited over his party). On Nicks way home
At around 2 AM, he sees a car in a ditch and he says he sees Owl Eyes climb out of the car (I'm thinking he's talking about a person). After the party the next day Nick returns to talking about his life and how he does other things than party and starts to date Jordan seeing that she's a dishonest person.

Great Gatsby Party

Personally I think the party would be quite boring and awkward. I feel like the only reason people went to the party was because the Great Gatsby had thrown it. Everybody would be really careful on what they would do and nobody would be themselves and have a good time. Of course I would meet a lot of new people but I feel like I wouldn't meet the real them. It would be an honor to meet the Great Gatsby though.

Great Gatsby Remix chapter 1

In the two towns of West Egg and East Egg there is a body that separates the two. In West Egg lives a Rich Douche who is really racist, while in East Egg lived a young woman who this married rich douche wanted. The man was married and had many side women but this didn't stop him from wanting another one of these side women. He had drove a nice car that Nick, the narrator, talked about and towards the end of the chapter the woman had said to the rich man that he had a child.

Music as Literature

I personally think music is literature. The definition of literature is " written works, especially those considered of superior or lasting artistic merit. " and to many people that fits the definition of music for them. Of course, all different types of music are different, but they are all literature of some type. They all have a story inside of them that the writer or rapper or singer is trying to say. So to me music is actually literature.
